Check out why our customers love us!

LOVE IT! Love the menu - delicious and also not ridiculously expensive. We tried it when it first opened, and the food was quite good but it seemed pricey. New menu, however, seems to have addressed that. Small plates $9-12+, entrees in the $15-25+ range. Everything our group of four ordered was fantastic - menu is nicely varied and had something for everyone. I had the fried brie as an appetizer and then the "small plate" Brussels sprouts as an entree. I plan to go back and order the exact same thing again!! One person in our party had the ravioli and we all kept stealing some off his plate. Server was attentive and helpful. Bartender makes a great martini. Definitely our new favorite spot on Gaylord Street. -Yelp

My family and I were lucky to find this hidden gem. We had one of the best dining experiences in Denver. The food, especially the lamb shank special, was phenomenal. Our server was amazing and gave us the best service we could ask for. And chef Patrick was gracious enough to stop by our table after our meal. We'll be back soon. -OpenTable

Flew in from the east coast and went right to Charcoal Bistro for brunch. Still the best. Liked it so much we went back for dinner! -Yelp

We live in the neighborhood and have been here several times. Just had an amazing brunch. Brisket and delicious, perfect portions with delicate flavors. And the ambience is very nice and relaxing. Great service too. -Yelp

Holy cow! This place is amazing. The food was delicious, and they have a great wine selection too. Great place to celebrate an occasion or just relax with friends. Highly recommended

My new FAVORITE PLACE! From the time you walk through the doors you have a sense this is gonna be good. The pictures of the interior online are good but it's even better when you are there. We went early around 4:30-5:00pm on a Wednesday. I was drawn here by the menu listed here on Yelp! I'm Swedish & they have Swedish meatballs in the menu! These are venison meatballs on a bed of mashed purée of potatoes, mushroom gravy & lingonberrys. I was transported back to my childhood & my grandmas traditional cooking. I almost cried. I called over the host & asked ok who's the swede??? He smiled & replied our executive chef!!! Wednesday just happens to be happy hour DAY!! So we started with bacon wrapped dates on a bed of whipped goat cheese topped with a soft powder of crushed pistachio & a Concord grape reduction. In full disclosure I really dislike dates! These were amazing. I'd order it again. 2nd starter was of course the venison Swedish meatballs we ordered twice. 3rd starter was the Poke salad. The flavors melded beautifully with the tuna & the chips were a welcome utensil! Main course we opted to split chicken pesto gnocchi! Even though we were so full we still ordered dessert. So glad I did that apple tart was thin delicious crispy refresher from the creamy wonderful gnocchi. All in all this was one of the best foodie experiences in Denver to date. You should make an effort to go. Restaurant Bar & patio seating. Dog friendly on patio with tight leash. Don't know much about busy times or reservations but based on reviews I'd call ahead! Enjoy. -Yelp

Recently went here for an event wrap-up meeting with a large group. We came in near the end of brunch and they let us continue our meeting until we were through without trying to rush us out, even though they were closing down for the afternoon. We really appreciated that when we realized that the time got away from us! -OpenTable

The place itself has a hipster/Pinterest crafts vibe and the menu had a lot of interesting and gourmet options to choose from. Would definitely consider it for a nice brunch or group meeting in the future! -Yelp

I brought my mom for her 50th surprise birthday party and it was an amazing time. The service was great. The food was delicious and the overall day was perfect. Thank you so much

We came here on a Saturday night and enjoyed the warm weather on the patio. Each of us had a whiskey cocktail, which were both incredible. We shared the meat and cheese board that had this pesto cheese that is making my mouth water while typing this. The foi Gras was melt in your mouth good, with the candied apples....I would go back just for that appetizer. We then split the venison Swedish meatballs. Such an eclectic group of flavors all married eloquently! I would highly recommend this restaurant as well as those three dishes specifically! -Yelp

Dropped in on Tuesday, got the three for thirty. Oh my Lord the food is amazing. What a deal. -Google

The food was amazing. I was surprised by how quickly we were sat for brunch. Our waitress was phenomenal, I brought a 2 and 4 year old and she engaged with them and really made them feel special. Personally I thought the prices were very reasonable for what you get, I had been a little hesitant as I read someone say it was a little pricey. They even split a plate for my boys and gave them separate plates so they could feel special. -Google

I was visiting Denver for a bachelorette weekend, and Charcoal Bistro was the perfect pick for our group of ten after a wild weekend of partying. Delicious and contemporary food pairings. Tranquil and relaxing interior. Super accommodating waitstaff. Glad we stopped by. -Yelp

My husband and I are in town for just one night. We adore this place. The ambiance is very relaxed and intimate, yet still casual enough where I feel fine wearing my ripped jeans. The food was to die for. The baked brie is out of this world and the octopus and kale salad blew my mind. We also shared some other plates, and they were all just incredible. The chef is so talented and I will definitely come back again when I come back to this city.  -Yelp

Amazing! Great food, great drinks and great service. Fun, quiet, intimate. Love happy hour at the bar and dinner at a table is great. One of our favorite spots in our neighborhood. -Google

The best in Wash Park. Chef driven and always creative. Perfect for friends get together or the family. -Yelp

I had brunch here today with a friend I hadn't seen in a few months. We were greater at the door by a smile. The atmosphere was relaxing. The decor sleek and comfortable at the same time. Our waiter was attentive and gracious. We had the Hash and the Biscuits & Gravy. Both were YUMMY! We had Mimosa's that were a perfect choice for brunch. Put it on your list for your next dinner date. You won't regret it! -Yelp

Great happy hour menu, prices and overall experience! It will not disappoint you. Lively spot for locals to enjoy a drink and an appetizer. -Yelp

My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week. The atmosphere and service was excellent! The chef delivered our food to the table. We also got to meet the owner. Everything was really good. We will absolutely be back! -Yelp

Every course was simply amazing! The wine, the salmon tots, bacon wrapped dates, mussels, chicken, donuts, chocolate torte- we all loved it! Went with a group of 4 for a girls night and we all had a great time and can't wait to return. -Yelp

Fabulous meal! Had the $30 prix fixe — smoked salmon “tater tots”, grilled rainbow trout, and a chocolate tart for dessert. Delicious, inventive food and artful presentation. And service by Erica was warm and attentive. -Google

New restaurant! Oh my God, this restaurant is so good! All this food is made on-site, which I am a huge snob about. They have bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys that you can switch back and forth on. The staff is very attentive and open to my weird food sensitivities. I will definitely be back to this gem! -Google
